每次爬楼梯爬到到房间,脑中立刻浮现friends第十季中那个脱衣舞警察气喘吁吁的说:“Oh that're a lot of staris!!!”

“that're a lot of stairs!!!”

------------------------------------------

day 12----15 ..............................

Rome sucks. Freak ppl there, and we were followed by a black man in the night. Firstly he seemed wanna steal money from us, but later when we intentionly stood away, he suddently turned around and wanna attack/scare us. My friend got robbed in Napole also. A horrible experienve ever for her. And when the police found out that the man didnt carry a gun with him, they said to my friend, "you're lucky"....totally speechless. The worst/most dangerous capital I am every been to.

In venice now. Just received notification from my professor saying that I didnt pass a module...k...the whole trip was ruined...damn stupid "Studying Politics in 21th Century"....

Terrible mood now. But anyway I appreciate the face that I am alive now. So here is the update. Dad and mom, dont worry...

day 9--Everyody love Barcelona!

Day 6----Goodbye marseille; Here comes Madrid.

The days in South France has passed, though not a very pleasant experience with couchsurfing in Marseille in the last three days. Lots of changes, and I almost had to sleep on the street. Anyway, the days has passed, and beside the CS part, everything is very good! We tried the fish soup, went to the Calanque, Notre-dame etc etc.

Now i am in Madrid, and just had a G-R-E-A-T day yesterday! My host Jose is so nice. He let me sleep on the bed but he slept on the sofa; He created my account on the computer for easy my usage; He treated me a lot of Madrid food\drinks, as accroding to him,´save your money, you are my guest´; he cooked my breakfast(he is great at cooking!); he lead me around and  warned me a lot of tricks in Madrid... We went to a CouchSurfing gathering yesterday night as well. I then got to know a lot of nice and kind hearted Madrid people. We chatted about photographic, philosophy, and asian culture. I even didnt expect myself talk so much yesterday! And I also get to know Jose´s friend Ilde, they both love asian culture, but mainly Korea and Japan. And Ilde share a quite different view of RWVWT and YSIESN, and he claimed he wont go to china because he dont like the country, so I argued with him a lot....:P But anyway a pleasant talk, and always  good to listen to other opinions from other point of views.

Yesterday i discussed with Jose of the meaning of travelling. He said he found out that usually for asain people, people tend to treat travelling as tasks: they carry a list of places they want to go, and when they visited one, they erase it from the list. It is like a mission finished. However, they know nothing about the history or culture behind this place. I totally agress with him. I used to do that also, but then more and more I found it is no fun at all. The amazing part for travelling should be dicovering the local spirit and local life. That is why now, I dont care of how many buildings or churches i am going to see, but rather join such CS meetings, and talk with the local guys. Much much more fun.

Hopefully later I can go and see the Bullfight tonight.  And sorry for my non-sense craps above. But these are the newest updates though.

Summary of day one---Fell in love with Avignon

Hey guys i don't mean to use english but i am typing on my host's laptop which only english is available. So please bear with my horrible english :P

Today I arrived in Avignon, a south city in France; Wai Pai joint me half way.(yeah Wai pai, thanks so much for making my trip not so lonely!)  It is small but BEAUTIFUL!!! Moreover, it is the couchsurfing host who made me fell so fantastic: We surfed at a france girl Sabine's house. She was just graduated from school and has been working for half a year alr. She is stand designer now working for an International Wine Exhibition which will be hold in June 22nd---an exhibition hold between france and Hongkong in turns( i wanna join....T-T) Though we are all not good at english, we had Great talks, abt couchsurfing, abt her job, abt why China and Franch are having a hard time now...she is so kind and easy-going, helping us to find car rental companies etc.....she also lead us to a very famous local wine bar, where we ordered a Tensent 2005 wine; what a great time!!!! We tried Avignon area wine with Four different meat and Five different Cheese,  and later courses of raw beef with cream baked potato, and duck liver salad!---the first time ever for me to try that! By the way, i just love the red wine so much!(i am the one who drunk the most....LOL) Now we just came back from the bar, and i feel dizzy but happy: today it works just better than i thought.

i always imagine how south france looks like. Today it shows me the same as i think: small but relaxing, relaxing, relaxing. We spent all time wandering around this small town, sat on the bridge when we were tired, and kept going when we found the next attractions, lead by a local friend, and try new things, taste nice wines, talk to different people, and see how ideas colliding and sparking. There is no hurries at all, but just enjoy the beautiful sceneies beside our life path. I always believe that we all sometimes too busy to forgot what we are really chasing for, and now i think i found the answer-slow down and look around.

Anyway, day one- perfect!

Tmr- Marseille!

p.s., people in south france are just thousands times better than people in paris!(at least i feel so). Though they are not very good at english, they are so kind and willing to give a helping hand: when i lost in Mqrseille transtation, three people volunteeraliy came to show me how to buy the ticket to Avignon and told me which is the cheapest one. I was so moved, so moved!!
